Conference tour "Carcassonne: 2500 years of history" in LSF

A lecturer offers a detailed tour of the monument in LSF, taking into account the needs and expectations of groups.

This highly descriptive tour retraces the history of the Cité, in particular the castle and the Basilica.

The tour lasts an average of 1 hour 45 minutes.

  • Tour for groups of 8 to 20 people with disabilities: €40
  • Visits for individuals (5 people or more): €6 per person (for children over 7).

Visits for school groups

Throughout the year, an LSF-speaking tour guide offers discovery tours on various themes: history, architecture, art history, daily life... lasting from 1h to 1h45.

Good to know

  • Disabled visitors are strongly advised to be accompanied by an able-bodied person (the tour route is vast and uneven).
  • The Lices and Basilica are freely accessible.
  • You can also explore the château freely: the Musée Lapidaire on the second floor, the immersive Ellipse film and the tour of the château's shirt.
  • The ramparts are not recommended for the very fatigued.

Reserved parking spaces

For individual visitors with GIG or GIC badges or "carte européenne de stationnement" (European parking card), several reserved parking spaces are available in the paid Delteil parking lot (free from 7.30pm), opposite the entrance to the Cité.

Drop-off point

For individual visitors, a drop-off point (bus stop) is available in front of the Cité's main entrance.
